I am headed to San Francisco. I've talked my boss into funding my attendance at a solar power conference, and I'll get to see a city I've wanted to visit for a long time.
I know several world travelers who cite San Francisco as their favorite city in the world. Multicultural, scenic, etc. Affordable housing. Just kidding.
I'm excited to see it.
I've been tasked by a friend with getting a picture of Alcatraz (for decoration of her office, which I think is hilarious), and of the Golden Gate bridge as well. I'm also keen to get some shots of Haight-Ashbury. It's been fifteen years or so since I saw the Grateful Dead, and we'll see if this conjures some memories.
