Hello, Kat! I'm in San Francisco, and walked all around this town yesterday! I walked so much, my feet hurt.
I took tons of pictures on that memory card you and I bought (remember the one that holds a Gigabyte, don't laugh!) and I'll show them to you when I see you again.
I went down to the "Fisherman's Wharf", and saw a huge boat that some rich person owns. It actually had a helicopter on it! I could also see Alcatraz Island, an island where they build a prison so that nobody could escape. I took some pictures of that, and I'll show them to you.
Then I went and saw a big bridge called the Golden Gate Bridge. It is really pretty, and an amazing feat of engineering. See, those engineers do neat stuff! There are people here from all over the world. I asked a nice fellow with an eastern European accent to take a picture of me. I told him my name was Michael, and he said that was his name too!
I also heard accents from Ireland (I asked, just to make sure), Australia, Germany, China, and Russia! There are really people here from all over!
On the clock, the time here is two hours less than it is at home, so I woke up at my normal time at home but it's very early here! I think I will walk down to the place where my conference is because the walk is along a shoreline and I can see the ocean.
It's really nice weather here. Everyone says it's hot, but it's only 80 degrees and there's this nice breeze that's always blowing. These guys don't know hot, you know what I mean?
I heard that you went to the movies with Nana. Did y'all get to see Hancock? I think that you're going to like that film. If you saw it, you'll have to tell me about it but don't give away any surprises.
I love you, and I'll talk to you soon.
Your favorite dad.
